The new United States Coast Guard Auxiliary sign representative of Division 6, 5NR was dedicated on 15 May, 2010. Built in memory of Joseph Farber from Flotilla 61, the sign is located at the public boat launch in Bordentown, NJ. In attendance were Mrs. Ethel Farber, her children and several members of Mr. Farber’s family. The family was extremely pleased and grateful for this honorific. Also in attendance was the Honorable Joseph Malone, NJ State Assemblyman; the Honorable James Lynch, Mayor of Bordentown; Division 6 Captain-Central, Jay Brandinger and Division 6 Commander, Gary Swain. Officials from the Yapewi Aquatic Club and Bordentown Yacht Club were also in attendance, and the 5NR Color Guard presented the colors. In addition, members of various area flotillas attended this event. In all it was a momentous occasion and fittingly there were several vessel safety checks performed after the ceremony.
