>LT Megan Cull was relieved by LT Peggy Britton at a Change of Command ceremony held on August 14, 2009, at the Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore.

The presiding official was Rear Admiral Wayne Justice, Commander, Fifth Coast Guard District.

The WILLIAM TATE is a 175-foot coastal buoy tender homeported in Philadelphia, PA. The WILLIAM TATE and her crew are responsible for the maintenance of 250 buoys in the Delaware Bay, Delaware River, and the Upper Chesapeake Bay.

The WILLIAM TATE is designed, constructed and equipped to perform other Coast Guard missions such as domestic ice breaking, marine environmental protection, and maritime law enforcement.
