>On April 11, 2008, Sector Baltimore determined the foreign flagged, 318-ft freight ship, M/V SNOW BIRD, to be unseaworthy and detained the vessel for numerous deficiencies involving the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) and the Load Line Convention.
